We didn't join this crew for gentle fun times. We joined to be terrorized and horny.
Just popped into my head: so. Izzy is very clearly into men and turned on by being dominated. But he also mocks and derides the crew for any displays of their sexuality/weakness with others. Thing is, his Captain - his Captain - is Blackbeard himself. And so that makes it ok for our twisted little muppet, makes it acceptable to him that Blackbeard makes him respond that way.
That's why he's so desperate to have Blackbeard returned to him. He needs it, needs the excuse. And only the savage and legendary Blackbeard himself make his needs tolerable.
